Meet Brandon...

Brandon has been battling Epilepsy most of his life.

Brandon's mommy says:
"Brandon was born on December 17th 2001. When he was 6 months old, he started having seizures. After a long battle with them and no medicines seem to be helping, we consulted with Cincinnati Children's Hospital to have brain surgery done.

On August 25th 2010, Brandon underwent a Hemispherectomy. After being in there for a few hours, we got the worst news that a main blood vessel had ruptured and Brandon was not expected to live through the night and the surgery had to be stopped so, the surgery was not completed. After a few weeks of being in a coma, Brandon finally embraced us with his presence. He had to re-learn everything again. While in there, he started showing signs there was something else wrong and after further look, he needed a shunt. On October 31st. We got to come home :)

After some intense therapies and a lot of tears, he is walking by himself. He has to wear a brace on his left foot to help keep his foot straight. He does have an artificial skull on the right side of his head. He is 11 years old but, mentally he is 7years old. He loves to tell jokes (even if they do not make sense, they are still funny!!) He is so sweet and loves to play with his little sister and anyone who wants to play. He is truly a miracle child. He loves to participate in the special Olympics and loves to go to the zoos and the museums."

Mommy says: "We very much appreciate all the help we receive". Please help Mr. Brandon by donating directly to his fund. All donations are tax deductible.

If you would like to donate directly to Brandon and his family please write "Brandon" in the description section on the donation screen.
